Konation, hails from Nairobi, Kenya. Karanja is a self-taught digital designer, specialising in motion and graphic design. He aims to have his own design collective one day. His work is not commercially focused, but he “always tries to make art”. His biggest fear is to be generic. The set featured on Kuvva is entitled ‘Akili ni nywele’, which is a Swahili proverb that translates to “Intelligence is [like] hair, every person has his/her own”. It is used to portray a sense of uniqueness in an individual’s intelligence, opinion or creativity.</p>
